Fronts in distributed Josephson contacts

Abstract

The dynamics of fluxons (magnetic-flux quanta) in extended Josephson contacts is studied. Graphs of fluxon velocity versus the contact parameters are obtained. The existence of both stable single photons and photon packets is discovered.
