Radiophysics and Quantum Electronics Aims and scope

Abstract

We have considered for the first time the effects which the sphericity of the Earth has on the eigenmodes of the ionospheric MHD waveguide. We investigate how the continuous spectrum is altered when we make the transition from a plane-parallel model of the waveguide to a spherical one.
