Meteorology and Atmospheric Physics Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

The effect of simple quasi-nonhydrostatic approximations in a numerical model of a gravity current are discussed. Two methods for including non-hydrostatic effects are explored. The reasons for the limited success of a first method is discussed briefly.
