Summary
Acetic acid inhibited fermentation in a respiratory defficient mutant ofSaccharomyces cerevisiae (IGC 3507-111) in an exponential way. The undissociated form of the acid probably was the toxic agent. Ethanol potentiated this effect in a synergistic exponential way.
