Summary
In some nerve processes of the hypothalamus ofGasterosteus aculeatus, the endoplasmic reticulum displays a special organization. Small interconnected smooth vesicles constitute transverse lines spaced between 0.3 and 1.3 μ. This special organization of the endoplasmic reticulum has been found in nerve processes with a diameter larger than 1 μ even in neurosecretory ones.
