A new rigorous upper bound for the inverse critical temperature of the two-dimensional Coulomb gas

Abstract

In this paper we show how to improve the recent resultβ c ⩽17.2λ on the inverse critical temperature for the two-dimensional Coulomb gas at low density to get the following upper bound:β c ⩽16λ.
