Abstract
The nonlinear development of Tollmien-Schlichting waves in a boundary layer is studied taking account of the nonparallel character of the mean flow. The investigation is made using a modified Stuart-Watson method [1–3]. A comparison is made with results obtained with the usual quasiparallel approach.
