Abstract
Accurate values of hyperfine interaction parameters have been obtained for thulium metal from Mössbauer spectra, using an, implanted source of169Er in Al and Moiré velocity calibration. A magnetic moment ratio,μ */μ = −2.223(13) has been measured along with a ground state magnetic dipole coupling strength μH=33.26(9) cm/sec and an excited state quadrupole coupling strengthe 2 qQ */h=1933(12) MHz.
