Abstract
The half-life of64Cu in Cu−Au solid solutions has been measured as a function of the Cu concentration. Relative changes of electron densities Δρ(0)/ρ(0) at the Cu nucleus are deduced. The observed nonlinear concentration dependence of Δρ(0)/ρ(0) is discussed in terms of volume and charge transfer effects.
