On an optical effect in blood flow

Abstract

Results are presented of an experimental investigation of light scattering by blood flow. The relationship between the observed dependence of the scattering on the time and strain rate and the aggregation of particles (erythrocytes) and hydrodynamic characteristics is discussed.
