Large-scale fluctuations in bounded plasma-molecular systems

Conclusions

Our calculations show that the model description of the collisions may be very helpful in the investigation of large-scale fluctuations in bounded plasma-molecular systems. Although it does not give precise quantitative estimates, such a description does bring out the qualitative effects associated with the influence of the boundaries on the nature of both the unipolar and the ambipolar diffusion and the wave processes of fluctuation nature. It may be assumed that effects such as the enhancement of particle diffusion along directions parallel to the interfaces, the appearance of additional correlation channels associated with the reflection of waves and particles by a surface, and the appearance of long-range electrostatic correlations due to the breakdown of Debye screening have a universal nature and are not due to the use of a particular collision model.
