Theory of rate constants: Master equation approach

Starting from the master equations we derive the kinetic equations for the concentrations of chemical species. Both adiabatic and nonadiabatic rate processes are analyzed. In limiting cases, the results of the work conform to those of Widom(9) and Gibbs, Fleming, and co-workers.(4,5)
