Human erythrocyte volume is linearly related to cell concentration in blood

Zusammenfassung

Bei 253 gesunden männlichen Versuchspersonen wurde das mittlere Erythrozytenvolumen bestimmt und zur Erythrozytenzahl in Beziehung gesetzt. Das mittlere Zellvolumen zeigt einen linearen Abfall mit Erhöhung der Erythrozytenzahl. Diese Korrelation ist statistisch signifikant.

Summary

In 253 normal male subjects mean corpuscular volume decreases as red cell count increases. The result is statistically significant (p<0.005).
