Abstract
An analysis of a dielectric waveguide periodically loaded with metal strips is presented. Numerical results are obtained from the formulation based on Galerkin's procedure in a space-harmonic domain. Experimental studies are conducted to correlate with theoretical results and to study the effect of finite length of the grating.
