Computation of pressure produced in ultrahigh-pressure equipment by an elastoplastic medium

  • Published:
Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The suggested method for evaluating pressure is the most reliable, since it takes into account the actual properties of media and the tested objects. However, it is very cumbersome and requires for its improvement further computation and experimental work.

  2. 2.

In computing pressure it is necessary to know the compressibility of media and the relationship of their shearing force to pressure. Therefore, it is most desirable to develop on a wide scale the measurement of these properties up to the maximum attainable limits for each measurement technique.
