Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Nitration with different nitrating agents of salts of aci-9-nitrofluorene, and diacetyl and dibenzyl derivatives of 5-nitrocyclopentadiene was investigated.

     
  2. 2.

    Under the action of N2O4 or a mixture of HNO3 and (CH3CO)2O, potassium salt of 9-nitrofluorene readily transforms into 9,9-dinitrofluorene. Under the same conditions, 2,3-diacetyl-5-nitrocyclopentadiene and its salts are nitrated to 2,3-diacetyl-1,5-dinitrocyclopentadiene.
