Conclusions
The technology of manufacture of hardness standards, developed and tested under production conditions with ShKh15SG steel, ensures the production of standard specimens of high stability and homogeneity with respect to hardness. The change in values of an average hardness standard over 18 months did not exceed 0.2 HRC units. In 81% of the SHS the scatter of the hardness values over the working surface of the standard did not exceed that permitted by GOST 9031-63 for standards of the 1st order.
