Conclusions

The proposed method of synchronizing clocks with the aid of television channels through cyclic phase changes of line pulses of the synchronization resolves ambiguities in the time count in intervals corresponding to seconds. It is not necessary to transmit special pulses in the television signal and to perform a preliminary synchronization of the collated time scales. The proposed method does not interfere with the normal operation of television sets.

When satellite channels for television broadcasting are used, the times at which pulses corresponding to seconds are emitted from the antenna of the on-board transceiver can be adjusted so that these times are equal to the instants at which pulses corresponding to seconds are emitted from the clocks of the State Time and Frequency Standard. This is equivalent to a time keeper with a synchronized time scale on board the satellite.
