Conclusions

  1. 1.

Lack of coincidence of the centers of the base circles depends on the form of machining of the holes and is progressively reduced with an increase of the accuracy of the latter.

  2. 2.

For coarse holes (drilling) the least is the difference between centers of the average circle and the annular zone.

  3. 3.

For accurate holes (boring) the least is the difference between the center of the inscribed circle and the annular zone.

For accurate holes the difference in the positions of the centers of any base circles did not exceed 0.5 μm, which is comparable to the accuracy of measuring means used in monitoring the positions of the holes.
