Conclusions
1. One of the conditions for using a twin-circuit parametric oscillator for stabilizing adjustable frequencies consists of providing the same temperature conditions for components of both circuits. 2. Variable capacitors normally used in the generator's tuned circuits can be replaced by semiconductor diodes, provided that the diodes are thermally stabilized. High-frequency stability was obtained with constant temperature operating conditions within 0.5°C. 3. When the pumping generator is provided with a thermostatically controlled crystal stabilization, the crystal and the diodes can be placed in the same thermostat thus obtaining a high-frequency stabilization without complicating the equipment's design.
