Precision in measuring linear dimensions by means of an electronic contact indicator

  • Published:
Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Summary

It is possible to eliminate almost completely the effect of the measuring effort on the precision of measurements in instruments provided with an electronic contact indicator. For an optimum operation of the electronic indicator, the error in determining the contacting of the measuring tip with the measured detail lies in the range of 0.01–0.02 Μ.
