Abstract
The component of the sex pheromone of the German cockroach, 3, 11-dimethyl-2-nonacosanone (compound A), is a chiral compound. The chiral center at C-3 was assigned theS-configuration by ORD studies and PMR studies using a chiral shift reagent.
