Error of tightening threaded connections with a torque wrench

Abstract

The mechanism of the error in standardized tightening of threaded connections by scale or limiting torque wrenches is considered and estimates of the error are given. The error is caused by displacement of the point where the force is applied. Some quantitative evaluations of the error are given for a different types of wrenches series-produced in our country and abroad.
