On the basis of a sorption vacuum assembly AVS-1T, reference equipment has been produced for reproducing by the absolute reduction method the unit of pressure in the range of 10−3−10−6 N/m2. The upper limit is determined by the fact that at higher pressures the evacuation speed of the sorption pump drops rapidly, and the lower limit depends on that of the compression manometer used as a basic reference instrument and on the minimum pressure attained in the sorption assembly AVS-1T (10−8 N/m2).
The root-mean-square error of this equipment in reproducing a unit of pressure in the range of 10−3−10−6 N/m2 amounts to 2.5%.

Several Soviet and foreign manometric transducers with hot and cold cathodes were calibrated by means of dry air and nitrogen. The sensitivity of the calibrated transducers was obtained with rms errors of 4–5%.
