Variation in flowering behaviour inVulpia (Poaceae)

Abstract

Some abnormalities in the androecial structure and behaviour withinVulpia sect.Vulpia are described. These features help to trace the evolutionary history of cleistogamous taxa with a single micranthous stamen from chasmogamous taxa with three macranthous stamens.
