Conclusions

The successful solution of the problems indicated in the resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and the USSR Council of Ministers “On increasing the role of standards in improving the quality of manufactured production” depends above all on the constructiveness and purposefulness of the measures which will be worked out and realized by the USSR Gosstandart in order to restructure radically the work of the standardization and metrology services at industrial enterprises.

The work of state supervision laboratories must be subordinated to the main task-the creation of conditions for day to day and effective control over the observance of standards and the setting up of methodological guidance and control over the work of the departmental standardization and metrology services.
