1.
Having investigated methods for measuring the radii of curvature of surface sections in small-size articles, we have developed an interference-projection method for such measurements by means of circular templets. This method can be used for very rapid and precise evaluations of the radii of curvature, the ovality, and the surface finish of tested sections whose linear dimensions do not exceed 0.3 mm.
-
2.
The method was applied at the Machine-Tool Institute by means of a microinterferometer type MII-4 and a projection attachment.
-
3.
The method is similar to that of Newton rings and is carried out with a strictly centralized position of the MII-4 instrument's microobjectives.
-
4.
This method's error does not exceed 0.3%
