Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

When one coordinate ¯z (pulp and purely pulp paper) is sufficient for characterization of whiteness, the Zeiss leukometer gives reliable results and can be used successfully for evaluating whiteness.

  2. 2.

Measurement of coordinate ¯y on the leukometer is possible only after installing the combined filter proposed in this article into the instrument.

  3. 3.

Certification of leukometer standards should be done by measuring the spectrophotometric curves and subsequent calculation of the zonal reflection coefficients, or by means of a checked leukometer.
