Conclusions

  1. 1.

Quantization of the integrated value of the input quantity, or differently, integral quantization, is accomplished in an A-D converter with intermediate frequency conversion.

  2. 2.

The magnitude of the quantization step is determined by the steepness S of the frequency converter characteristic and equals R=1/S.
