Thermal rating of thermocouple manometric transducers

Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Conclusions

It will be seen from Table 2 that the experimental and computed values of the heating current do not differ by more than 10–20%, which corresponds approximately to the errors in evaluating the thermophysical characteristics of air, filaments, and thermocouples, and to the errors of the initial equations for heat exchange with free convection [2, 3, 8, 9, 11–13, 16]. Thus, the method suggested here for establishing the thermal rating of LT-2 transducers can be used for an approximate evaluation of their calibration curves. This method has been used, in particular, for designing a 12-channel recording wide-range vacuum gauge [3].
