Automatic information retrieval system for engineering measurements

Abstract

Described is the design of a factographic knowledge base on measuring instruments and devices (MIDs) used in engineering measurement and control and an automatic information descriptions of individual MIDs, to formulate search criteria, and to retrieve a MID subset matching the specified conditions. The knowledge base is designed to operate on an IBM PC AT personal computer.
