In the presence of high-precision stabilizers and equal range of measurements, the nondifferential pattern can secure higher accuracy of the fit of coupling.
Fluctuations of the operating pressure are reflected in the scatter of clearances (tolerances) in fits to a greater extent when the nondifferential pattern is used.
Adjusting of an instrument constructed on the nondifferential pattern is simpler than the adjusting of an instrument with differential pattern. In the first case, two measuring and two input nozzles have to be adjusted, in the second case only two measuring nozzles.
The instrument constructed on the differential pattern requires selection of bellows with equal effective areas.
In the calculation presented it was assumed that measuring clearances correspond to the linear portion of the discharge characteristics of the nozzles. When, however, tolerances in the dimensions of the parts to be fitted exceed the length of the linear discharge characteristics, then the instrument constructed on the differential pattern will possess better possibilities of accuracy.
