Methods for measuring the dimensionless resistance coefficient of a solid body in a rarefied medium

  • Published:
Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Abstract

An analysis is given of the status of solving the problem of measuring the dimensionless resistance coefficient of a solid body in a rarefied medium. A new methodical approach to solving this problem is proposed and investigated, based on utilizing the effect of the interaction between kinematically coupled solid bodies and a rarefied continuous medium. Specific technical solutions are considered for implementing the measurement methods developed.
