Influence of the aberration of an optical system upon the accuracy of a measuring set

  • Published:
Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Conclusions

The calculation of the influence of defocusing on the sensitivity of a measuring system with a half-disk modulator of the light flux has shown that aberration effects have a strong influence upon the operation of a servo system. Thus, in designing systems, one must take into account aberration effects. The method suggested in the article can be used for this purpose.
