Abstract
We have developed a small automated lowtemperature dilatometer for investigation of the thermal coefficient of linear expansion for solid materials in the temperature range 4–300 K. The metrological characteristics of the apparatus allow us to solve an auxiliary range of research and applied problems. The economical use of liquid coolants in the cryostat substantially reduces operating expenses.
