Summary

The above multiplying device can be used for integrating products, in particular for measuring dc electrical energy over a definite interval of time. For this purpose, it is only necessary to disconnect the restoring of the time-interval counter-readings after each cycle of measurements, and set the counter for measuring over a given time interval.
