Conclusions
A conformational equilibrium has been observed in (CH3)2CClNO, and it has been shown that the cisCl and trans conformers are present in solutions and in the gas phase, the more stable conformer being the cisCl. In n-C6H14, the energy difference amounts to 1.22 kcal/mole.
