Optimal alarm-signal algorithms for gas analyzers in simultaneous concentration monitoring for several substances

Abstract

A decision rule with multiple alternatives has been formulated for generating an alarm signal in simultaneous concentration monitoring for several substances in several gas analyzers, together with the conditions for limiting the false-alarm probability. Examaples are given, including ones where the uninformative parameters are not known a priori. A statistic is proposed for generating the false alarm signal for simultaneous concentration measurement.
