Determination of optimum monitoring time of ionizing radiation

  • Published:
Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

Abstract

A method is proposed for estimating the optimum monitoring time of the induced delayed neutron radiation of fissionable materials. The obtained results suggest that in practical conditions the optimum monitoring time amounts to several seconds and provides the specified detection characteristics.
