Abstract

We propose an estimate of the noise reducing capability of a radar system taking into account the side lobe structure of the directional characteristics of the antenna and the sensitivity of the receiver. We obtain a mathematical expression for which a special case is a previously known expression. The results of the calculations, presented graphically, support the validity of the proposed estimate.
