Conclusions
The above method is suitable for evaluating the absorption coefficient with an error of the order of 12–16%, which is adequate for calculating parameters in radiation heating.
The simplicity of the suggested equipment and the short time spent on the experiment (about 7 min per measurement) make the method convenient for application under production conditions.
The instrument for measuring the absorption coefficient is simple in design and can be made by any enterprise which uses radiation installations.
