Abstract

Main chain liquid crystalline polyesteramides containing dibenzo-[18]-crown-6 moieties have been synthesized. Shown by polarisation microscopy and x-ray investigations, these polymers tend to form a mesophase with a layered structure,e.g. smectic A or smectic C type.
