Promoting home-based elder care: Some Swedish experiences

Abstract

This paper focuses on the development of public services and care of the elderly in Sweden, with special attention to the development of home-based elderly care. Experiences, outcomes, and current problems related to the slowdown in economic growth are discussed as well as policy initiatives, strategies, and prospects for the future.
