Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The cis addition of hydrogen to the triple bond occurs when 2-pentyne is hydrogenated.

  2. 2.

The specific activity of a zeolite in the hydrogenation of pentynes is determined by the higher ionization potential of the cation.
