Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The polarizability ellipsoids of the triphenyl derivatives of group IV elements do not have axial symmetry.

  2. 2.

    The effective conformations of the aryl radicals in these molecules correspond to eclipsing of the adjacent bonds.
