Conclusions

  1. 1.

By using a catalyst containing palladium bis(acetylacetonate) and triphenylphosphine linear unsaturated C9 acids and 3-ethylidene-5-propenylbutyrolactone can be obtained in a high yield from CO2 and butadiene in dimethylformamide.

  2. 2.

Under the reaction conditions, low-valence phosphonic complexes of palladium catalyze the oxidation of triphenylphosphine to triphenylphosphine oxide and the reduction of CO2 to CO.
