Conclusions

  1. 1.

Complexes of cobalt(II) chloride with diphenylphosphoryl-substituted acetyl- and benzoylmethylenetriphenylphosphoranes have been synthesized, and characterized by their stability constants in solution and absorption spectra in the visible and IR regions.

  2. 2.

The stability constants of complexes of lithium [LiL]+ and copper(II) [CuLCl]+ have been measured in nonaqueous media for a number of methylenetriphenylphosphorane derivatives.

  3. 3.

The introduction of an ylid p=C bond into compounds with acyl and (or) phosphoryl groups results in a marked increase in the complex-forming ability of these compounds.
