Conclusions
-
1.
Effective stability constants have been determined for the 2∶1 complex between 2-diethylaminomethylphenol and copper (II) in a variety of aqueous ethanol media.
-
2.
Complex strength was found to increase symbiotically with increasing pKa value for the phenoxide form of the ligand as the concentration of ethanol in solution was raised.
