  • Published:
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

A method is proposed for the preparation of 1-germatranols with the general formula

(R=Me, Ph, n=0-3, m=0.1) by the reaction of germanium dioxide with tris(2-hydroxyalkyl)amines by heating in an aqueous medium.

  2. 2.

    For the first time, C-substituted 1-germatranols (R=Me, n=1, m=1; R=Me, n=2–3, m=0; R=Ph, n=1, m=0) were obtained and characterized.
