Asymmetric synthesis of (2S,4S)-2,4-diaminoglutaric and (2S,3S)-2,3-diamino-2, 3-dimethylsuccinic acids using chiral Ni(II) complexes

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Oxidative dimerization of the Ni(II) complexes of the Schiff's base of S,R-alanine with S-2-N-(N′-benzylprolyl)aminobenzaldehyde has been carried out, to give following de-composition of the dimeric complex (2S,3S)-2,3-diamino-2,3-dimethylsuccinic acid.

    C-Alkenylation of glycine in the Ni(II) complex of its Schiff's base with S-2-N-(N′-benzylprolyl)aminobenzophenone by treatment with CH2Br2 followed by decomposition of the alkenylated complex has given (2S,4S)-diaminoglutaric acid.
